Founders Ben O’Shea and Tommy Nicholls began by offering lawn care services in their hometowns of Kirdford and Pulborough. Over time, their dedication and reputation for quality allowed Extra Hand to expand across Sussex, Surrey, and Hampshire.
Since launching, Extra Hand has grown into a full outdoor services company, offering everything from hedge trimming and patio installation to complete garden transformations. Starting in the heart of West Sussex, both Tommy & Ben decided to wheel their lawn mowers through their villages looking for work as young teenagers. Both went on to study at university but their passion for the outdoors remained. What has since transpired is the keen craft of manual skills and entrepreneurial spirit to begin what is now EXTRA HAND.
